I am often asked to help other people with their computers. If you’re even somewhat savvy, you’ve probably been asked the same. (My mom is probably my easiest “client,” but she’s also the one I’m most like to lose patience with first.) With the increase of internet bandwidth available, it is very easy for me to “take control” of someone’s computer using Teamviewer. It’s a free program that requires pieces of it be installed on both computers. It uses the language of host and remote. Host is the computer that is taking control. Remote is the computer that is being controlled. It’s secured by password and login and hasn’t had any security breaches that I’ve found online. It’s fully PC/MAC/iOS compatible.
The service is free to use, but the company rightfully requests payment if you’re using it to make money.
